Here is a sneak peek at some of the highly commended images from the 61st Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition - the world’s most prestigious nature photography competition and international touring exhibition.
Selected from a record-breaking 60,000+ entries across 113 countries and territories, these images were chosen by an international panel of experts in wildlife photography, filmmaking, conservation, and science. They will feature among 100 photographs in the exhibition at the Natural History Museum, London, opening Friday 17 October 2025.
On Tuesday 14 October 2025, the 19 category winners and the new Wildlife Photographer of the Year will be unveiled at an awards ceremony at the Natural History Museum, hosted by renowned conservationists Chris Packham and Megan McCubbin.
